Salon Owner, Micah Lipscomb, started her career in 2005 and it didn't take long to create an amazing guest following. Aspiring to create the perfect experience for guests, she opened Muse Salon in 2011. Building a staff through apprenticeships & continuing education, allows stylists at Muse to have the same core training and workmanship throughout the salon. While Micah, no longer works behind the chair, she focuses her time on servicing staff and creating amazing guest experiences.

Jana has been a part of the Muse team since its launch in 2011 and has played an important role in shaping the Muse brand. Her talent behind the chair and passion for helping others led her to become a team leader and co-host of our education program. She believes continuing education is not only fun and motivating, but also essential to becoming the best version of oneself. Jana has traveled across the U.S. training under top educators and industry leaders. Most of all, she loves connecting with people and making them feel confident, whether it’s behind the chair or through education.

Emily joined Muse in 2015. She earned her cosmetology license in 2013 and is a graduate of the Aveda Institute Birmingham, where she was voted Class President. Emily has won numerous hair and makeup competitions including the Aveda Edwin Neil Full Potential Award Finalist, NAHA Participant, and BEACON, where she was named one of the top 100 cosmetology students in America. From Birmingham to Nashville to Las Vegas, Emily has worked with and studied under some of top industry leaders. She continues to master her trade and stretch her skills everyday. Before joining Muse, Emily was a makeup artist for MAC Cosmetics and also worked as a freelance hair and makeup artist for various photo shoots, weddings and special events. Although she has always had one foot in the beauty industry, she has an eclectic background with a degree in Print Journalism and a Masters Degree in Education. Emily has a true love for her trade. She is thrilled to be able to take her passion and create a rewarding career in this industry surrounded by beautiful people and souls.

Tiffany has been part of the Muse family for 8 years, where she’s known for creating beautiful styles and lasting connections that leave her guests feeling confident and cared for. She pours her heart into every appointment, making each guest’s experience as special as the end result. Outside of the salon, Tiffany is married to her best friend and is a proud mom to their little boy. She loves spending time at the beach, enjoying live music, and cheering on Auburn football.

Danielle loves giving guests confidence through hair styling, not only does it make the guest’s day, but It is a feeling she lives for as well. She was raised in small-town, southern Illinois and travelled to Indiana to pursue her career as a hair stylist. Six months after graduating, she moved to Birmingham and decided to call it home sweet home. Danielle immediately fit right into the Muse team and has expressed great talent and strong leadership roles. In a short time, she has developed a strong following of clients that not only consider her a hairstylist, but a friend. Danielle lives with her partner Jordan, and three dogs Lenny, Maci & Maverick. She is an animal lover, fitness fanatic, music enthusiast and plant nurturer.

Stormy is originally from Kansas, but Alabama has been her home for the last 5 years. Hair and makeup have been a passion of hers for a long time now. She moved to Birmingham to pursue her passion and attended Paul Mitchell School, before beginning her career at Muse, where she took her learning to the next level. Education has been a top priority for her as she continues to grow and stay on top of the latest trends. Stormy's favorite thing about this industry is the relationship built when making guests feel like their best selves. In her free time she enjoys shopping, and hanging out with friends and family.

Beck is a passionate and skilled stylist who brings her creative vision to life at Muse. A proud graduate of the Aveda Institute Birmingham, Beck's dedication to her craft is matched only by her commitment to her beautiful family. As a devoted mom of three and someone who married her high school sweetheart, Beck knows the importance of care, love, and attention to detail—qualities she brings to every client she serves.

Specializing in vibrant reds, flawless balayage, and vivid hair colors, Beck has a knack for customizing each service to fit her client's unique style and personality. Her favorite moments, however, extend beyond the salon. In her off time, Beck thrives on exploring the great outdoors, unleashing her creativity through painting, and cherishing family moments. With a love for the simple joys in life, she explores Birmingham’s newest coffee shops on a quest to find the perfect brew.

She believes that there is always something new to learn and a way to improve, ensuring that her clients benefit from the latest techniques and trends.
